“Body Wraps, Scrubs & Treatments

Body wraps, scrubs and treatments begin with cleansing of the feet to prevent contamination of other parts of the body. Dead skin and build up of skin on the feet prevent toxins from exiting through the skin on the feet.
Next a dry skin brushing is performed to stimulate the lymphatic system. Long sweeping strokes including bottom of the feet upwards and from the hands toward the shoulders, on the torso in an upward direction. Client is then turned over and dry brushing is performed on the front side.
Depending on the type of treatment chosen the warm product is then applied. The entire body is cocooned in a thermal body sheet allowing treatment to penetrate deep into the epidermis for 25-30min. Soothing eye pads are applied and the lights are turned low as you drift asleep to the gentle relxation music while receiving the benefits of Young Living Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils Aromatherapy.
A special treat can include a 5 minute scalp massage if you prefer. Next moving to the shower for a warm shower to remove the product. The final step includes warm moisturizing body cream to nourish and seal in moisture.

Why would I need a body wrap?

Body wraps have been around for thousands of years, dating all the way back to ancient Egyptians. Body Wrap at the time were utilized in body sculpting practices and primarily worked to stimulate circulation. Some types of Body Wraps stimulate a process called lymphatic drainage, where toxins and fatty acids from your cells are released into the capillaries and eliminated along with the body’s waste. Drinking large quantities of water during this type of body wrap is recommended to facilitate the detoxification and fat loss. Although the results of this type of wrap may not be immediately as drastic, the inch loss is wonderful.

The Importance of Lymph Drainage for Good Health

The predominant fluid in your body is lymphatic fluid. This fluid carries nutrients from the food you eat and the oxygen from the air you breathe. It also carries toxic poisons, bacteria, cholesterol and viruses away from the cells of your body.
Our lymphatic system is primarily responsible for carrying disease fighting materials to cells. When the lymphatic system is blocked, we become defenseless against attacks by virus, fungi and bacteria.
Many immune processes occur in the lymph nodes. If the pathways become congested, blocked, damaged or severed, then the fluids can build up in the connective tissue leading to edema and swelling. This can lead to abnormalities in the cells and many immune processes occur in the lymph nodes.
